CXC - Flange Heater (Copper Sheath, High Density)

Caloritech™ CXC Flange Heaters are used primarily for water heating applications and feature copper sheathed elements silver brazed to a steel flange.

CXF - Flange Heater (Incoloy® Sheath, Low/Medium Density)

Caloritech™ CXF Flange Heaters are used primarily for heating applications involving oils, gases and mildly corrosive liquids. They are constructed of incoloy® sheathed elements silver brazed to a steel flange, similar to the CXI Flange Heater. However, the CXF model is lower density and more suitable for stagnant or heavy oils, or for high temperature, low flow gas heating.

CXI - Flange Heater (Incoloy® Sheath, High Density)

Caloritech™ CXI Flange Heaters are well suited for heating water, especially in hot water and steam boilers, as well as heating mildly corrosive solutions in rinse tanks, spray washers, etc. The heater features incoloy®sheathed elements silver brazed to steel flange.

MXS - Gain and Gate Guide Heater

The Caloritech™ MXS Gain and Gate Guide Heaters are specifically designed to prevent ice build-up on sluice gate guides or bodies. The heater is usually installed in a vertical well or duct of round or square cross section having a round nozzle at the top for fastening. Heating elements are silver brazed into a water tight terminal housing having recessed base for mounting. Unlike open wire heaters with ceramic supports, MXS heaters can be coiled to a six foot diameter to facilitate shipping and handling.

WXS - Gate Body Duct Heater

The Caloritech™ WXS Gate Body Duct Heater is custom engineered to heat the inside of a gate and prevent ice build-up on gate walls, windseals and end members. It can be connected to a duct having various elevations within the gate. This unit features a weatherproof duct heater and matched motor, and a high static axial fan assembly installed within a galvanized heavy steel housing.

CXC - Domestic Immersion Heater (Copper Sheath)

Caloritech™ CX Domestic Immersion Heaters were developed as high quality replacements for the most commonly used heater types. The CXC is available in a range of styles, including 2.5″ (64 mm) square flange with tinned copper sheath, 1″ (25 mm) tapered brass plug with copper sheath, 1″ (25 mm) non-tapered brass plug with copper sheath and round flange with zinc plated copper sheath. Elements are epoxy-coated to protect the heater from moisture and other contaminants that can lead to premature element failure.

CXF - Domestic Immersion Heater (Incoloy® Sheath)

Caloritech™ CXF Screwplug Heaters are used primarily for oil heating applications and feature incoloy®elements silver brazed into a steel screwplug. Low watt density units are used for heavier non-circulated oils, while higher watt density units are suitable for light oils or in forced oil circulation loops.

Units are available with optional standard built-in thermostat – a one pole device limited to 240V 25 amp with a range of 10°C to 120°C (50°F to 250°F). 600V thermostats, double pole thermostats and alternative temperature range thermostats are available upon special request.

FPH – Flanged Pipe Insert Heater

The Caloritech™ FPH Flanged Pipe Insert Heater (also known as an insert tank heater) is uniquely designed to heat storage tanks containing viscous, corrosive or heat sensitive materials including asphalt, tar, fuel, oils, paint and glue.

The FPH provides a safe, cost-effective low maintenance solution for tank heating. By enclosing the heating elements within a sealed pipe insert, elements do not come in direct contact with the heated product and elements can be removed for servicing while the tank and its contents remain in service.

HX - Over-the-Side Immersion Heater (Teflon® Sleeved, Incoloy® Sheath, Spiral-Configured Element)

The Caloritech™ HX Over-the-Side Immersion Heater with Teflon® sleeved, spiral-configured incoloy® element is a space efficient solution for liquid heating applications where easy removal of the heater for cleaning or inspection is required. A polypropylene guard is supplied as standard with the unit.

MX - Pipe-Insert Immersion Heater

The Caloritech™ MX Pipe-Insert Immersion Heater is designed to provide uniformly distributed heat to storage vessels containing high viscosity liquids such as asphalt, molasses, tar, paint, glue, wax and oils without causing charring or coking. Units are installed in a suitable metal pipe contained inside the storage vessel (minimum 2″ (51 mm) diameter), then heat is transferred safely from the heating element of the MX heater to the inner wall of the pipe by a combination of convection and radiation.

This heater is a safe, cost-effective and virtually maintenance-free solution that eliminates the need for high maintenance pumps or open flames, which may present a fire hazard, especially when the liquid being heated is flammable.

TX - Urn Heater

The Caloritech™ TX Urn Heater is a bottom mount style immersion heater intended for use in liquid heating applications.Steam tables, coffee urns, kettles, sterilizers, percolators and other water heating applications. Standard units feature a brass mounting flange and a copper sensing capilliary with copper element sheath, however other materials such as incoloy® are available on special order.
